COMPETITOR PROGRAM

Nomination Fees (excluding. GST):

$1000 per horse for the “Gold Buckle” (Open Draft).
$300 per horse for the Cut-out Feature
$75 per timber yard & including a powered site with water
$250 per stable with shavings & including a powered site with water (located at new rider amenities area)

All riders must be either a financial SCA member, or if you don’t have this you can purchase a weekend membership at a cost of $70 with your entries.

Important Info about Stables, Timber Yards, Own Yards, Camping:

Please note, stables, yards, and own yards, are in separate areas of the site, so we recommend you book your team of horses into one option.

If you book stables or timber yards, you will be allocated a camping site with power and water, close to your stables/ yards.

Yards are in the same location as last year. Toilets will be porta-loos in this area.

Stables will be located at the new Riders Amenities area, a 15-minute walk from the Campdraft arena (10 minute stroll on a horse). This area includes access to the luxury toilets, showers, laundry, and heated swimming pool. Bikes or electric scooters are recommended, and cars will be able to drive closer to the event and park in the public carpark during the day. It is recommended that stallions are booked into stables (SCA rules for stallions apply).

If you have booked to construct your own yards, there is no power for camping, so you will need to bring a generator. Toilets will be porta-loos in this area.

Stallions

Please note whilst attending and competing at all Southern Campdrafting Association Affiliated Campdrafts the following stallion rules must be adhered to:

  • All Stallions are to be double tied by neck strap and halter and enclosed in a panelled yard on the campdraft grounds (or in a booked stable – see notes above regarding stables).
  • Only 1 horse is allowed per enclosure.
  • Panels must be a minimum of 1500mm in height. Panels must be constructed using an equivalent of 4 bars of 25mm box or pipe equivalent as a minimum.
  • Panels must be anchored securely to a solid object i.e. truck, post or tree.
  • Stallions may be unrestrained in a panelled yard during daylight hours only, if an additional tape barrier is erected at a minimum of 1 metre outside the panelled yard.
