Condition of entry

All riders and owners entering, competing or have horses competing in this event are expected to have read and accepted the following conditions of entry and consent to them when entering online.

Parents of anyone under the age of 18 must have read and consented to the conditions online.

All riders, participants, volunteers and spectators attend the event at their own risk and the event organisers hold no liability or responsibility for any injury sustained on the show grounds or during the duration of the event, and hold no liability or responsibility for any belongings lost, stolen or misplaced on the show grounds or during the duration of the event.

The following must be properly completed: –

  • Entries with correct horses & riders
  • stabling, camping – Read and agree to Conditions of entry, online when entering.
  • Riders under 18 should have a parent or guardian’s permission.
  • Payment in full by close of entries.

MEMBERSHIPS AND REGISTRATIONS

Horse, Owner and Rider must be current financial members with their Equestrian Australia appropriate state branch.

All horses nominated must hold current registration and show jumping grading cards from EA. Except for Ring 2 Children’s and Thoroughbred only classes

All thoroughbreds competing in our Thoroughbred classes must be current members of the Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association.

Grading shall be in accordance with the current National Grading System.

Placegetters to 8th in the Future Stars must bring grading cards or a photocopy of the current performance card to be sighted by the office.

RULES

The Event will be run under FEI/EA rules.

Helmets MUST comply with current EA Rules.

All riders must always wear proper riding boots and an approved helmet whilst mounted, including presentations.

Riders not entered before close of entries online must register and sign a Disclaimer Statement at the show office before competing. Ie. Substitute rider and or horse. Anyone not entered correctly WILL be eliminated from competing at the show. There will be a $10 late fee.

Horses can only compete and be entered once in a class. In the event of an a & b section to a class the horse can only compete on one of these classes.

Horses must compete in their correct draw order. If a horse is to be substituted it must be registered with the office before competing.

Coats must be worn in all presentations in all arenas

Coats must be worn when competing until the organising committee say otherwise. If summer uniform is to be worn shirts must have sleeves. Ties or ratcatchers must be worn. White ties must be worn if the rider is not wearing a coat.

The Organising Committee reserves the right at their absolute discretion to alter or amend any of the conditions, regulations, or any aspect of the event as they see fit.

Equestrian NSW reserves the right to swab horses. Random swabbing of horses may be conducted in any class. Horses chosen for swabbing must proceed directly to the swabbing box immediately after the presentation.

All dogs must always be on leads and secured.

PRESENTATIONS:

All prize presentations will be mounted. Ribbons and rugs will be placed on the horses prior to them entering the arena for the presentation. Riders must wear coats in their presentations.

Riders with stallions or a difficult horse that are placed in a class should substitute this horse with another horse for the presentation.

PRIZE MONEY:

All prize money will be paid via EFT.

Competitors receiving prize money will be required to complete a form and supply bank account details.

REFUNDS:

No Refunds will be given for cancellations, change of mind, sale of your horse or the scratching of a horse.

Refunds may be given at the discretion of the organising committee for reasons accompanied by a veterinary certificate, medical certificate or extenuating circumstances.

No Refunds will be offered on stables and yards.

No Refunds will be offered on camping.

Stable rules:

Stables will be allocated and the stable area is under the direction of the stable managers.

Horses are not to be tied to stable doors

All stables and yards carry a $50 cleaning bond, it is the responsibility of the competitor to have our stable and yard manager check it off prior to departure to receive the full refund post event.

Golf Buggies and unregistered motorised vehicles must be driven by a licensed driver. Vehicles must not be driven under the influence of alcohol.

Competitors are responsible for cleaning manure from yards and stables and placing it in the designated areas.

ARRIVAL TIME: The following times are for the arrival of Horse vehicles:

  • Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 7pm

Anyone not able to arrive within these hours must contact the Stable and Facility Manager, Laura Lawrence on 0498 590 509

STABLE – includes stable hire/for the whole event and 4 bags of shavings (additional shavings can be purchased from the venue @ $20 per bag) – $250 inc GST – a $50 cleaning bond will be refunded if stable/yard is cleaned and signed off by Willinga Park Stable Manager prior to departure.

Timber Yard – $75 per horse for duration of event – a $50 cleaning bond will be refunded if stable/yard is cleaned and signed off by Willinga Park Stable Manager prior to departure.

If competitors wish to be stabled/yarded with friends they must indicate this at time of entry. Please note that yards and stables are NOT in the same location.

DEFINITIONS:

Children’s Championship: Athletes may take part in Competitions and Championships for Children if they are 14 years of age or younger at the first day of competition, 12/09/19

Riders of the correct age may compete in both Children’s and Junior competitions but on different horses. Horses may only compete in either Children’s or Junior Rider not both.

Junior: Athletes may take part in Competitions and Championships for Juniors from the year they reach the age of 12 until the end of the year they reach 18.

Riders of the correct age may compete in both Junior and Young Rider but on different horses. Horses may only compete in either Junior or Young Rider not both.

Young rider: From the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 16 until the end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 21.

Riders of the correct age may compete in both Junior and Young Rider but on different horses. Horses may only compete in either Junior or Young Rider not both.

Junior Riders of the correct age may compete in both Junior and Young Rider but on different horses. Horses may only compete in either Junior or Young Rider not both.

Intermediate Rider: Is a rider in the year of their 19th Birthday and over, has not competed in a World Cup Qualifier or 4* Three Day Event for the last ten years, who has never competed in Olympic Games or World Equestrian Games in Showjumping or Eventing and has not competed in Part 1 or 2 at Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide Royal Shows in the past two years. Intermediate rider can not compete in arena one at Jumping @ Willinga 2019

Amateur Rider:

As per Equestrian Australia National Jumping Rules Article 255 – Amateur Riders

Amateur Rider classes are classes for riders who:

Must not have competed in an Olympic Games or World Equestrian Games in either Jumping or Eventing

In the past 10 years must not have competed in a World Cup for Jumping Riders qualifying round.

Must not have competed in section 1 and 2 at a Royal Show in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth in the past two years

Must never have competed in a 4* 3 Day Event.

Amateur Riders may not compete in an Amateur class if they compete in a class where the first round is higher than 1.20m at that show.

Amateur Riders may not compete in an Amateur class on a horse that will compete in any class where the first round is higher than 1.20m at that show.

1.1 Athletes must be meet the membership requirements as set out in the EA General Regulations.

1.2 Riders may compete as amateurs from the beginning of the calendar year in which they turn 21 years of age.

1.3 Organisers may at their discretion limit the number of horses a rider can start.

1.4 The course shall be free-flowing and relatively simple. The first obstacle in the first round should be 10cm lower than the advertised starting height of the competition.

1.5    There will be a maximum height rise of 10cm for the jump-off.

Futurity

For Horses 6-9 years of age the competition.

Australian Teams  League Event

Will be run as per the ATL rules

Ring 1

The organising Committee reserves the right to refuse an entry if it is deemed unsuitable or unsportsmanlike for that class.

Formal dress code shall apply unless otherwise advised. (White or fawn breeches only.) Shirts must have sleeves. Coats must be worn in all presentations in the Ring 1.

If you have horses competing in the Main Arena and the classes clash notify the marshal in Arena 2 as the Main Arena will take preference.

Each horse may only start in 2 classes per day, as per EA rules

First Aid & Camping

First Aid Fee $30 per rider – for the duration of the competition.

Camping costs $120 for the duration of the event. Each campsite is for 1 vehicle and 1 x 15amp power point. If multiple power is required a competitor must book multiple campsites.
