The Willinga Park team is mourning the loss of our very first dressage horse Bloomfield Royalist, an exceptional horse that had huge potential for International Dressage.

The 9-year-old gelding became ill quite suddenly and we are awaiting the results of the post-mortem.

Bred by well-known horse stud, Bloomfield Farm, Roy’s father ‘Royal Hit’ is a prolific producer of elite dressage horses.

A favourite of owner, Terry Snow, Roy was being trained and campaigned by Jayden Brown and will be sadly missed by all of us here at Willinga Park.

“Roy was showing all the potential to take the next step to Prix St George and beyond, his willing nature, kind attitude and aptitude to work, made him a dream to train,” said Jayden Brown.
