Event Information
Welcome to Dressage@Willinga
We’re excited to welcome you to 4CYTE™ Dressage@Willinga, a weekend where the beauty of equestrian sport meets the stunning setting of Willinga Park.
When is it? The event takes place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July 2024, running each day from 9:00 AM to around 4:00 PM.
Where is it? At Willinga Park, Bawley Point — a place where striking architecture, curated sculpture walks, luxury accommodation and expansive botanic gardens create an experience that goes far beyond the arena.
Entry is FREE for all spectators, so you can simply come along and enjoy - there’s plenty of free parking on site.
Event Highlights
Dressage@Willinga showcases the full spectrum of dressage, from introductory tests through to the elite Grand Prix level. Across the weekend, you’ll see everything from early-level riders building their confidence to seasoned competitors performing complex, high-level routines. The pinnacle is the Grand Prix Freestyle on Sunday afternoon, where riders choreograph their tests to music—an audience favourite for its creativity and showmanship. You’ll also catch Freestyle performances at other levels earlier in the day, alongside classes like the Grand Prix Special and various Intermediate tests. Spectators are encouraged to move between viewing areas to take in the action, with seating available at all rings—including grandstand seating in the covered arena for the headline classes.
Family-Friendly & Accessibility
Willinga Park is proud to offer a family-friendly, inclusive environment, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the Dressage@Willinga event.
Families will find that there’s plenty of room for kids to be kids. Young ones are often fascinated by the horses – you might take them to watch the warm-up arena where riders are practicing, or let them enjoy the open space of the lawns (under supervision, of course).
We also welcome dogs on leash, so your canine family members don’t have to stay at home. You’ll see a number of spectators with their dogs strolling the paths or sitting ringside; just remember to keep dogs leashed and pick up after them to keep the venue clean.
For visitors with disabilities or special access needs, we strive to make Willinga Park as accessible as possible. There are designated accessible parking spots very close to the main spectator areas – just let our parking attendants know, and they will direct you.
Our indoor arena has a wheelchair-accessible viewing area and we can assist in finding suitable viewing points at the outdoor arenas as well. Accessible restrooms are available adjacent to the café and main arena.
If you or a member of your group has any specific needs or you have questions about access, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our staff either in advance or on the day – we are here to help and want to ensure your day is comfortable.
