Honouring a Legacy: The Terry Snow Restricted Open 2025
We are honoured to announce the inaugural Terry Snow Memorial Restricted Open 2025—a new feature event introduced to this year’s Ringers Western Gold Buckle Campdraft Championship at Willinga Park, Bawley Point.
This event is a tribute to Terry Snow AM, the founder of Willinga Park and a passionate supporter of campdrafting. Terry loved the sport—not just for the competition, but for the sense of connection it fostered between people, horses and community. He championed its future and worked to create a place where it could be celebrated and shared.
The Restricted Open will serve as a premier competition, showcasing top-tier horses that have previously won Open drafts embodying Terry's values of excellence and opportunity. The Restricted Open will showcase elite horses that have previously claimed victory in Open drafts — truly the best of the best.
The winner of the Restricted Open will receive a handcrafted bronze sculpture by Queensland artist Jaye Hall, whose bush bronzes are known for capturing the heart of rural life. The trophy is a meaningful reflection of the values Terry held dear—authenticity, skill and a deep respect for the land and the people who work it.
