Gold Buckle Campdraft 2020 Postponed
Gold Buckle Campdraft 2020 Postponed
After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone this year’s Willinga Park Gold Buckle Campdraft, from 14 – 16 May.
We have listened to concerns of the community around COVID 19 and gatherings of people at events, along with the Southern Campdraft association with which we are affiliated with.
We are constantly monitoring the COVID 19 situation as it develops, and we are responsibly following the advice of the Australian Department of Health.
We are following this advice in order to best care for our visitors, staff, stallholders, competitors, and the community as a whole.
It is greatly disappointing that we’re unable to hold our Gold Buckle Campdraft at this time. We have recently finished acquiring over 1250 head of Hereford Cattle, so that both rounds, the semi and Gold Buckle Final would all use top cattle. Construction of our new grandstand is well on track and will give spectators the best possible view. And channel 7 has been secured to again broadcast the final live on free-to-air TV.
This all being said, at Willinga Park, the safety, security and wellbeing of people is always our utmost priority. We will work with all to bring you a new date for the event once the situation improves.
