This special event, organised by Kate Scott, Chair of the Regional Advisory Committee for SW Qld LifeFlight and the Willinga Pastoral Co. Team is set to highlight the critical needs of LifeFlight services in Southwestern Queensland.
About Kate Scott: With two decades of experience as a dedicated Registered Nurse in Roma, Kate Scott’s commitment to enhancing healthcare in rural communities runs deep. Kate’s personal experiences have fueled her passion for equitable access to essential health services. As a mother raising her family on a cattle property, Kate understands the challenges of remote living and the urgent need for reliable emergency care.
Kate’s personal story serves as a driving force behind her involvement with LifeFlight. Her mother’s tragic passing, which could have been prevented with timely medical intervention, exemplifies the pressing necessity for swift and efficient medical services in remote areas. Kate’s determination to honor her mother’s memory by advocating for improved healthcare accessibility is truly inspiring.
Event Highlights: The Willinga at Juandah Plains Campdraft Hay Auction is an opportunity for the Wandoan and Campdraft community to come together and support the cause that Kate Scott and LifeFlight hold dear. Auction Prizes: Organised by John Scott, Hazelmont Pastoral Holdings and Andrew Koschel of GVS Freight Services, Cobar. Hay Donations by Clare at Hill River Hay,. Freight donated by GVS freight services. Andrew will deliver the hay for free within 200km of Juandah on Sunday 10th sept.
