ABCRA membership & Registration

All competitors must be either a current member of the ABCRA or purchase a weekend membership at a cost of $45.00 for Adults and $20.00 for Junior & Juveniles.

Helmets

Helmets must be worn by all competitors under 18 years of age and encouragement competitors.

ABCRA Rules Clause CD3. Protective Head Gear:

CD.3. All campdraft competitors under 18 years of age must wear helmets when competing in all events, and anytime whilst mounted at an affiliated ABCRA event. The chin strap must be securely fastened under the chin. Helmets are to comply with current industry and sports Standards. All Encouragement Campdraft competitors must wear an approved helmet securely fastened in any draft they compete in.

Rules

The Willinga Park Campdraft is being conducted under ABCRA Association Rules and Regulations – please refer to the ABCRA Rule Book for any clarification.

Ladies Dash for Cash

  • Open to competitors 17 years of age at the day of competition or over.
  • Each competitor is limited to 1 run.
  • The competing horse must compete in the Gold Buckle Campdraft.

World Championship Gold Buckle Final Draw

  • The draw for the final (exact number of finalists to be determined) will be hand drawn by the finalists.
  • The starting order for the Draw – will be ceded, top placed rider has first pick. Competitors with more than one horse in the final, will draw first.
  • If a competitor has more than 1 horse in the final the competitor must be more than 3 runs apart; therefore, if a competitor draws 2 horses within 3 runs – the competitor will throw the second number back into the Hat and redraw until a number is drawn more than 3 runs apart.

Stallions

Please note that the following NCCA stallion rules apply and must be adhered to:

In Daylight Hours You May Either:

A: Stallions to be double tied. Stallions to have an exclusion perimeter erected around the horse and area they are tied to exclude any possible interaction between the stallion and another horse or human.

OR

B: Stallions to be enclosed by panels. Stallions can be free to roam inside the panel area when an exclusion perimeter is erected around the panelled area to exclude any possible interactions between the stallion and another horse or human. Only 1 Horse allowed per enclosure. Panels must be a minimum of 1500mm in height. Panels must be constructed using an equivalent of 4 bars of 25mm box or pipe equivalent as a minimum. Panels must be anchored securely to a solid object ie: truck, post or tree.

At Night:

The same rules apply to daylight hours with the addition for a stallion that is in panels must have at least one additional form of restraint eg: tied up, hobbles, sideline.

Stallions may also be stabled at Willinga Park – 20 Available, please book through Campdraft Central

 BYO tape or portable yards

  • All competitors not booked into stables or permanent yards, will be required to park in a separate parking area, which is fully fenced.
  • If constructing your own yards, please ensure it is ONLY in the areas identified as there are major services running throughout the facility. STRICTLY no star pickets or similar are to be driven into the ground anywhere else.
  • There is no power available in this area, so please bring a generator if you need it.
  • Horse water will be available in 1000L tanks spread throughout this area.

Entry

Nominations open via Campdraft Central 7:00am, 3rd April 2024 and Close at 7:00am, 5th April, 2024.

Prize Money will be paid within 10 working days of the event and will be paid by EFT. Please ensure when entering all competitor details are correct and your banking details are up to date.

Dogs

We love dogs at Willinga Park however for the safety of others and of course the horses, please always keep them on a lead at all times.

Competitor Area

  • The Ringers Western and Willinga Park Grandstands have allocated seating on Finals Day (Saturday 4 May). Tickets can be purchased at willingapark.com.au if you wish to sit in the grandstand or spectator area, tickets must be purchased.
  • Please be aware that the seating in the Food Court and Swamp bar area is for the public – and General Admission ticket holders and be respectful of the fact that the public has purchased tickets to the final’s day.
